The Daimler and Lanchester Club in the UK Register notes that the chassis number makes it an early DJ252, manufactured in 1955. Ivory White, with Red Upholstery and a Red Hood was one of the standard colour permutations offered by Daimler when made.
87587 was the 37th made (out of 250). In total the Register, including this car, knows of 76 cars left in existence of which at least 14 are roadworthy in the UK and about 5 in Europe.
